In today’s marketing standards it is known that social media is king. Ergo today’s marketing is free, while social media memberships are free. Wrong it’s still all about the money. Yes it’s true you can promote your business on social media for free, but it is very hard to get wanted results.
So, how to do it?????
Most of the tutorials I see online suggest to use all kinds of programs to help you generate traffic and fans. Ok, so what’s the problem? The problem is they all have their price. Even if they are only $29,99, to some young striving marketer that’s a lot of money. And yes, there are the ones that are free, but those I recommend not using, because from my experience they generate mostly spam and can cause only problems.
From my experience, here are 5 tips that are proven to be affective.
If you are a marketer of any kind, especially social media, this little word should be your one and only law. If you provide interesting and unique content your number are going up in a second. Ok, so how do I get there? If you’re in the business world , you should wake up every morning to 5-10 top business sites. Get the news and post them and watch your followers share. And that you can have your coffee.
2. To post or not to post?
It is also very important to have the feeling when to post. It’s a bad thing to post every minute on Facebook, but for Twitter that is not the case. There is some statistical data which tells us that the best time to post is at noon and in the evening hours. But my opinion is that every marketer needs to know their audience, they need to put themselves in the customers shoes, become one of them and than they will know when to post.
3. DO NOT Delete
When the discussions get too heavy you should never, ever delete posts. In social media marketing deleting posts of followers is suicide. A follower can’t do you that much damage with comments you don’t prefer as you can do alone to yourself by deleting a followers post.
4. Do it All
Make yourself every social media account that makes sense for your field of business. When you have a few accounts it’s easier for you to spread the word more quickly and efficiently. You can easily leverage on other social media accounts.
5. What’s in a name…
Mention someones name while posting. It is an automatic process of Word of Mouth than. Also use hashtags to spread the word about your product to an even wider audience, and more importantly to an audience that has similar interests as you.
